Hi families!!!
Oh how I miss seeing your sweet kiddos faces every morning!  I can't wait to give huge hugs to everyone of them.  Here's a virtual hug from me!

I came across something that could be helpful to parents with younger kiddos.  This
is just some ideas for keeping students on track
when doing technology isn't really available.  My boys are enjoying lots of play dough,
kinetic sand, and legos.  We're getting outside as much as possible with long walks!  But
this offers some good ideas for younger kiddos while we are indoors.

Brady working hard on his schoolwork!
Love that art box in the background!

Camden getting some time outdoors!! Excellent!

Elin working on some art projects at home!! I love this!

Jadyn working on some indoor painting.  Great for these rainy days we've been having!
Hi Jadyn!!

Some artwork from Amaya!
Quenton taking a beautiful nature walk!! Even on a rainy day we can sneak out between showers!
Hi Quenton!!!

Parents, keep the pictures coming!  I got a wonderful video tonight that brought tears to my eyes.  I love your students like my own children and miss them dearly.

Please let me know if you are having difficulty with technology in any way.  I am available to help any time!  I am new to teaching in this form, but there are so many resources available that will help me get answers for you quickly!

Love to all my wonderful first graders!

Hello families!

The link here AT HOME LEARNING has the information that was sent home with students on Friday with log in information.  I have updated our class google page with some activities students can be working on this week.  I will continue to update this and check in daily with any questions you may have.  Please have students READING.  Students brought home books on Friday.  Please take time to have students read to you and alone.  Reading and constant exposure to literature helps our little readers so much!  Pick up a journal for students to write about what they have read.  A fantastic way to extend early readers is through writing.  Have them write about what they read.  In the beginning.....Then the character....Finally they.....

Writing is crucial to our early readers to keep their minds growing and extending what they have learned.

HERE is a sample letter formation chart for reference while students are writing.  Letter formation is very important and we don't want our early writers in bad habits with their letters so encourage correct letter formation at home.  Pick up a primary ruled writing journal for student to use at home
to practice letters.

I also invite students to send me letters!  I would LOVE to hear from students during this time and will be sending cards and letters back.  Hopefully this will keep us in constant communication!  If your student would like to send me cards/letters please send me a private message (email) and I'll send you that info.

Google classroom - our class code is: ii47yiv
Here is a LINK to a book we recently read in class - students might enjoy this hilarious story with my silly voices for a bedtime story tonight :)
I am also going to have my husband record me reading books as often as possible for you to share with your kiddos at home.

This link below also has the student work grid that was sent home Friday.
