We're back at it today and learning so much! In Language this week we are beginning to focus on singular and plural nouns. For comprehension we're focusing on retelling our stories with partners and will later in the week write about what we have read. In phonics our skill is short 'u' this week. We are beginning a new writing piece soon about our opinion.
In math our focus is on using commutative property. Today we used a balance to make both sides of our equations equal.
Last week we had fun using what we had learned about community helpers and made cut outs of our faces to show what we want to be!
Don't forget it is Red Ribbon Week. Here is the schedule for the rest of the week:

Next Tuesday (October 31) will be book character day. Please note the hand out in folders today for ideas. We are also celebrating the books we have read so far about Junie B Jones with a fun Jamboree celebration! We have centers planned for the morning where students will explore activities to help with what they have learned about in reading these fun books in class.
Tuesday afternoon we will be doing a pumpkin investigation.
